FAQs

We offer flexible, mobile CPA services across BC and Alberta, with virtual, on-site, evening, and weekend availability. Here are answers to our most common questions.
Can I ask a question?

Your Accounting Questions

Q: What services do you provide?

A: We offer a full range of accounting and tax services, including full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, GST/HST and PST filings, WCB filings, personal and corporate income tax compliance, trust returns, tax planning, and compilation engagements. Our services are designed to support both individuals and businesses across British Columbia and Alberta.

Q: Do you only work with businesses, or do you also help individuals?

A: We serve both. Whether you are an individual needing assistance with personal income tax or a business owner requiring bookkeeping, payroll, or corporate tax services, we tailor our approach to your situation.

Q: How does a mobile CPA firm work?

A: Instead of requiring you to visit a traditional office, we provide accounting services at your location or virtually. This means we can meet you at your business, home, or online; whatever is most convenient for you.

Q: Are you available outside of regular business hours?

A: Yes. We recognize that weekdays can be busy for business owners and families. That’s why we offer evening and weekend appointments by request.

Q: Is there an additional fee for evening or weekend appointments?

A: No. Our fees are based on the type of service provided, not the time of day. The fees are always fixed within your engagement letter and agreed to. There are never any surprises.

Q: How do I book an appointment?

A: Appointments can be scheduled by phone, email, filling out our website forum, or through our online booking system on Calendly. We’ll confirm the time and location that works best for you, whether that’s in-person or virtual.

Q: Which areas do you serve?

A: We provide mobile CPA services throughout the Okanagan Valley. We also offer secure virtual services to clients across Canada, focused on BC and Alberta currently.

Q: Can I talk to you before committing to your services?

A: Absolutely! We offer a free virtual consultation that is by phone or video conference, or in person at your request in the general Kelowna and surrounding areas. This is a no-obligation meeting where we can figure out if we fit together.

Q: What should I prepare for my first meeting?

A: Bringing your prior year’s tax returns, bookkeeping records, and any financial documents related to your current needs is helpful. We provide a checklist in advance so you know exactly what to have ready.

Q: Can I work with you remotely?

A: Yes. We use secure, cloud-based accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online and encrypted file-sharing systems such as Microsoft One-Drive to ensure your financial information is protected.

Q: Do you work with my existing accounting software?

A: We work with most major online platforms, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. If you already have a system in place, we can adapt to it. However, our practice is focused on QuickBooks Online and we highly recommend that platform.

Q: How are your services billed?

A: We offer both hourly and fixed-fee packages depending on your needs. Transparent pricing is provided before work begins, so there are no surprises.

Q: Do you require a retainer?

A: For one-time services such as CRA Reviews or Audits, or a major catch-up project, a retainer may be required. For ongoing or routine services like bookkeeping, annual tax returns, and compilation engagements fees are typically due upon completion or billed monthly for partial completion.
